Creating an Announcement
Step 1: Under Course Tools, select Announcements (see figure below). Note: You must be within the Teach Tab to use the Announcements tool.
Step 2: From the main Announcements page, click the Create Announcement button (see figure below).

Step 3: The Create Announcement screen appears (see figure below). Enter a title for your announcement within the Title text box.

Step 4: Enter a message within the Message text box. Note: You may format your message using the HTML editor by selecting the 'on' radio button.
Step 5: In the Recipients section, select the user(s) that should receive your announcement.
Step 6: In the Delivery Dates section, select the dates to start displaying the message and when to stop displaying it. If you also want to deliver your announcement as a pop-up message to the students the first time they access Blackboard after the announcement's start date, select the check box for Also deliver as a pop-up message. Note: You cannot edit the message after the 'Start displaying on' date has passed.
Step 7: Click the Send button to send your announcement, and return to the main Announcements page. From the main Announcements page, you will see the newly created announcement (see figure below).
