Uploading Files

Once you have material prepared for use in your Blackboard course, that material needs to be uploaded (or copied) into your Blackboard account from your computer. This “upload” is done through the File Manager.

To upload a file into the File Manager:

Step 1. From the File Manager, click the Get Files button located at the top:

 

Step 2. Click the My Computer icon on the left of the Content Browser (Get Files) window, then click the first Browse button at the top.

 

Step 3. Choose the file from your computer that you would like to upload [copy] into your Blackboard course and click Open or Choose. The filename will appear in the Content Browser (Get Files) window.
a. Repeat this step up to seven times using the corresponding Browse button to upload more than one file at a time.

Step 4. Click OK to upload the file you have selected.

To upload a file into an existing folder in the File Manager, first access the folder you want files loaded into and then "get file."
