Welcome to Announcements!

Announcements are course-wide notices sent by instructors to students. Announcements may appear as a pop-up message when you login to your e-learning courses. Additionally, you can access announcements from within the course tools menu.

Many instructors will use the announcements tool to communicate important course information (e.g., study reminders, assignment due dates, test dates, holidays, etc.). It is therefore essential that you know how to use this tool, so that you won't miss any important messages from your instructors. Note: Uses and application of the announcements tool will vary from course to course. The following illustrations will demonstrate how to view course announcements.

Accessing Announcements from within your E-Learning Courses

Note: Announcements may appear as a pop-up message when you login to your e-learning courses (see figure below). Alternatively, you may have to access course announcements by following the steps below.

Step 1: Under Course Tools, select Announcements (see figure below).

 Step 2: From the announcements page, you will see all course-wide announcements (see figure below).
