Login and Browser Check
Blackboard is the online learning management system used to deliver web-enhanced, blended, and fully-online classes at Broward College. Stated simply, Blackboard facilitates the organization of course material on the Web and provides a variety of educational tools and features that can be added to a course. Some of the available tools include: announcements, assessments, assignments, discussions, mail, and learning modules. To use Blackboard, one must know how to use an Internet browser and have basic word processing and computer file management skills. Blackboard users are NOT required to know HTML or computer programming. Blackboard is platform independent, accessible by a variety of hardware and software combinations, and utilizes Web browsers. Thus, students can access their e-learning courses from anywhere they have an Internet connection.
Prior to logging into your e-learning courses, it is essential to run a browser check to ensure that your browser is properly configured so the complete functionality of the learning management system application is available to you. The following illustrations will demonstrate how to login to your e-learning courses and run a browser check.
